There is absolutely no cost to the Healthcare Professional to join or maintain membership with the Medloc platform. Medloc does not charge sign-up fees, membership dues, subscription costs, or any other fees to healthcare professionals.
Medloc's revenue is generated solely from service fees charged to healthcare facilities. Your earnings from shifts will never be subject to platform fees or deductions by Medloc.
Medloc operates as a platform connecting qualified healthcare professionals with healthcare facilities requiring temporary staffing. By signing this agreement, the Professional agrees to:
The Professional acknowledges and agrees that they are an independent contractor and not an employee of Medloc Inc. or any healthcare facility accessed through the platform.
As an independent contractor, the Professional is responsible for their own tax obligations, including income tax, CPP contributions, and any other applicable deductions. Medloc will issue T4A slips where required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
The Professional must maintain active registration and good standing with their applicable regulatory body at all times while using the Medloc platform, including but not limited to:
Failure to maintain active registration will result in immediate suspension of platform access until compliance is restored.
The Professional authorizes Medloc to verify and confirm credentials, licensure, and good standing with the relevant regulatory bodies. This includes:
The Professional agrees that all information provided is accurate and complete. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate termination from the platform.
Medloc Inc. acts solely as a technology platform connecting healthcare professionals with healthcare facilities. Medloc assumes zero liability for:
The Professional acknowledges that they carry their own professional liability insurance or are covered under their regulatory body's insurance program, and that Medloc does not provide liability insurance coverage.
The Professional agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all patient information encountered during shifts in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and provincial health information laws.
Medloc commits to protecting the Professional's personal data in accordance with Canadian privacy legislation. Personal information will only be shared with healthcare facilities as necessary for shift assignments and credential verification.
The Professional agrees to the following cancellation and attendance policies:
Emergency situations (illness, family emergency, etc.) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If the Professional has a complaint, concern, or grievance regarding a shift, a healthcare facility, or the Medloc platform, the following process applies:
Medloc reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Professional's access to the platform at its sole discretion, including but not limited to the following circumstances:
The Professional may terminate this agreement at any time by providing written notice to Medloc. Outstanding shift commitments must be honored or cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy.
This agreement is effective from the date of signing and remains in effect until terminated by either party in accordance with Section 10.
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Professional and Medloc Inc. regarding the use of the Medloc platform. It supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.
