RN — Nurse: (fill in below)
This RN Platform Service Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Medloc Nursing On Demand Inc. ("Medloc", "Platform") and the Registered Nurse identified above ("RN", "Nurse", "You").
The Medloc Platform gives RNs complete control over their schedule — post availability freely, respond to opportunities, and manage shifts entirely on your terms.
Post Availability Freely
Post your available time as often as you like — daily, weekly, or ad hoc. Update or remove availability at any time. Minimum block: 2 hours.
Edit Anytime
Modify posted availability at any time before a shift is confirmed. No penalties for updating unconfirmed availability.
AI-Matched Shift Offers
Medloc automatically matches your availability against registered facility needs — broadcasting relevant RN shift offers in real time.
Direct Facility Contact
Registered facilities may contact you directly via text or email when your profile is a strong match for an urgent or specialized need.
2.1 — Availability Posting Rules:
2.2 — Auto-Generated Shift Offers: When registered facilities report scheduling gaps, Medloc's matching engine automatically generates shift offers and broadcasts them to verified, available RNs. Notifications are delivered via app push, email, and/or SMS as configured by the RN.
2.3 — Facility-Generated Shift Offers: In addition to auto-matching, Facilities may manually search the RN pool and create a customized shift offer at any time — for any duration of 2 hours or more. These offers are sent directly to matching RNs.
2.4 — Facility Direct Contact: Facilities may reference and directly contact RNs by text or email for shift requests. Medloc encourages always responding and tracks response behaviour (see Section 7).
The Medloc Platform gives RNs full flexibility in how they engage with each shift offer. You are never locked into a full shift you cannot complete.
3.1 — Full Shift Acceptance: The RN may accept any posted shift offer in its entirety. Upon acceptance, the shift is confirmed and locked to the RN. The Facility is notified immediately.
3.2 — Shift Splitting: The RN has the right to accept the first half or second half of any offered shift. When a shift split is requested by the RN it is logged:
Shift Split Example
A Facility posts a 19:00–03:00 (8-hour) evening shift. The RN accepts and splits at the halfway point (19:00–23:00). Medloc auto-creates and broadcasts a new 23:00–03:00 shift offer. The original RN is paid for 4 hours at the overnight rate.
3.3 — Sharing Shift Information with Colleagues: The RN may share available (unaccepted) shift details with a colleague via:
Sharing does not assign the shift. The colleague must hold a verified Medloc RN profile to accept.
3.4 — Minimum Shift Duration: A minimum of 2 hours is paid for any confirmed shift, even if the RN is released early at the Facility's direction.
3.5 — Cancellation After Acceptance: Once accepted, shift cancellation requires a minimum of 4 hours' advance notice to Medloc. Repeated post-acceptance cancellations will negatively impact the Reliability Score.
The RN agrees to practice within the full scope of Registered Nurse practice as defined by the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) under the Nursing Act, 1984 (NB). RN services through Medloc may include, but are not limited to:
The RN shall not perform any act outside their NANB-authorized scope. If a Facility requests a task beyond the RN's scope or competency, the RN must decline and notify Medloc immediately.
The RN will be compensated at the following hourly rates (CAD), representing total take-home pay prior to applicable statutory deductions. Rates are effective January 1, 2026.
| Shift Type | Typical Hours | Base Rate | Medloc Bonus | RN Take Home |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Day Shift | 07:00–15:00 | $65.00/hr | +$10.00/hr | $75.00/hr |
| Evening Shift | 15:00–23:00 | $65.00/hr | +$12.00/hr | $77.00/hr |
| Overnight Shift | 23:00–07:00 | $65.00/hr | +$14.00/hr | $79.00/hr |
| Emergency Backup | Any (≤4 hr notice) | $65.00/hr | +$19.00/hr | $84.00/hr |
| Outbreak Protocol | Any | $65.00/hr | +$19.00/hr | $84.00/hr |
5.1 All rates are the RN's gross take-home pay. Medloc charges Facilities a separate 12% platform fee — the RN's pay is never reduced by the platform fee.
5.2 — Emergency Backup: Applies for full shift duration when the RN accepts within less than 4 hours' notice.
5.3 — Outbreak Premium: Applies during active facility-declared outbreaks. Replaces (does not stack with) evening or overnight differentials.
5.4 — Minimum Billing: Minimum of 2 hours paid for any confirmed shift regardless of early release.
5.5 Medloc reserves the right to update rates with 30 days written notice. Rates will never decrease during the term of this Agreement.
6.1 Medloc processes payment to the RN within 24 hours of shift completion and submission of an approved timesheet or digital check-in/check-out confirmation via EFT.
6.2 The RN is responsible for accurately logging shift hours through the Platform. Discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of shift end.
6.3 The rates in Section 5 are the net amounts paid directly to the RN. Statutory deductions remain the RN's responsibility as an independent service provider.
6.4 — Split Shift Payment: Payment for a split shift is calculated based on actual hours worked in the accepted portion, subject to the 2-hour minimum.
Medloc tracks two key performance metrics visible to registered Facilities when reviewing RN profiles.
Response Rate
The percentage of shift offers (auto-matched or facility-initiated) that the RN responds to — in any direction — within 1 hour of delivery.
Reliability Score
Rolling 1–5 star score based on: shifts completed, cancellations, no-shows, and on-time arrival. Displayed publicly on the RN's profile.
7.1 Medloc strongly encourages responding to all shift offers. A simple decline is always acceptable and does not penalize the RN — ignoring an offer does.
7.2 No shift acceptance is ever mandatory. The RN retains full control over which shifts to accept or decline.
7.3 Targets for Good Standing:
7.4 RNs with a Response Rate below 50% for 30 consecutive days may be temporarily deprioritized in auto-match broadcasts. Medloc will notify the RN before any deprioritization takes effect.
The RN agrees at all times to:
As a condition of this Agreement, the RN confirms and agrees to maintain at all times:
10.1 — Confidentiality: The RN agrees to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient, resident, and Facility information, in compliance with PHIPA and RTIPPA. This obligation survives termination indefinitely.
10.2 — Non-Solicitation: For the term of this Agreement and 6 months post-termination, the RN agrees not to enter into independent arrangements with Facilities introduced through the Platform, without Medloc's written consent.
10.3 — Termination by RN: The RN may terminate with 72 hours' written notice. Outstanding shift commitments must be honoured or properly transferred before departure.
10.4 — Termination by Medloc: Medloc may terminate immediately and without notice for: abuse or neglect of a patient; falsification of credentials or timesheets; criminal charges; impairment during a shift; or repeated no-call no-shows.
10.5 — Independent Contractor: The RN is engaged as an independent service provider, not as an employee of Medloc, unless a separate written employment agreement specifies otherwise.
10.6 — Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of New Brunswick and applicable federal laws of Canada.
10.7 — Entire Agreement: This Agreement supersedes all prior representations. Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
